We are heart-broken to have to tell you that yesterday we had to say goodbye to our amazing Hercules. Following a freak accident, he became flooded with infection and there was nothing the vet could do to save him.
Hercules has been a part of Scropton RDA for 10 years. As the key member of our horse team he was a true all-rounder, always ready to help with whatever his rider asked of him. He took everything in his stride and was equally at home in a lead rein therapy lesson as in the dressage arena.
Countless riders have benefitted from his calm and gentle nature over the years, and without a doubt he has been the most loved horse at our centre.
Unreplaceable, he is going to be greatly missed by riders, volunteers and staff alike.
Thank you, Hercules, for making the lives better of everyone you came into contact with.

Our horses chilled out together in the sunshine at Scropton today which was so lovely to see them too!

Team Scropton at North Mids Countryside Challenge Qualifiers success!
What a brilliant day we had at the North Mids Regional Countryside Challenge. Danielle, Elizabeth and Raidon-Kane flew the flag for Team Scropton and it was smiles all round at their great results!
Raidon-Kane gained a very creditable 7th place in his class, Elizabeth came 4th and Danielle came first in her class. Not only that but she won the Mike Betts Shield for the highest senior score! Danielle and Elizabeth will now go on to compete at the RDA National Championships in July.

Congratulations Chloe & Cody!
They both have competed in the Dressage Anywhere Online RDA Championship Show 2024 representing Scropton RDA in the Grade 1 class which was very competitive as the top three riders got over 70% - Chloe came third place with 72.33% and will be picking their Bronze Medal at RDA National Championships in July!

May - Equine Car Boot Sale!
A really big thank you to everyone who supported our Equine Car Boot Sale last night - buyers, sellers & our fab volunteers! With the fine weather it was great to hold the sale outside and it was a busy evening, raising an amazing £1600 for Scropton RDA.

Team Scropton’s success at North Midlands Regional Qualifiers
What an amazing day for Team Scropton! 6 riders took part in the regional dressage and Show Jumping Qualifiers and all 6 qualified to go on and ride at the RDA National Championships at Hartpury College in July!
They couldn’t have done this without our superhero horses Hercules, Cody & Jak, and of course all the help from our fab coaching team.
It was brilliant to host this event at Scropton today; a really big thank you to all the volunteers who ensured the event ran so smoothly.

Congratulations to our young RDA participant Ffion!
Congratulations to Ffion, one of our young participants here at Scropton. She completed her Level 2 RDA horse care with a little help from Shandy and her coach Sally. Very well done to Ffion!

A huge thank you to the great team from Midland Fire Security Services Ltd who spent the day at our centre ground clearing and painting. It's amazing how much they achieved in such a short time and the centre is now looking much tidier & smarter.
