Horse Agility

Horse Agility is all about building a partnership with a horse, working together to achieve a goal.

There’s nothing quite like learning how to work co-operatively with a horse. You need to develop different ways to communicate, building trust in each other and working as a team. In Horse Agility you work alongside the horse on the ground with the aim of getting round an obstacle course together.

Beginners will have help whilst they develop their understanding and ability to work with the horse, starting with simple obstacles like poles and cones.

As partnerships develop there will be the opportunity to work more independently and progress to more complex tasks.

Horse Agility is a great way to develop confidence with horses, get active and have fun!

Horse Agility sessions are suitable for beginners and those with more equine experience. Normally sessions are run for small groups so that you can enjoy learning alongside someone else.

Getting started at Scropton Horse Centre

If you’re interested in taking part in activities at our centre the first thing you’ll need to do is fill in a participant form. This will give us all the information we need about you and what you would like to do. The participant form is the same whether you are interested in activities for those with additional needs or mainstream activities.

Once you’ve submitted your form we’ll have a look at what sessions we have available that would suit you and we’ll get in touch with you to let you know what we can offer you.
